The Maasai Mara (also spelled Masai Mara) is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves, located in southwestern Kenya along the border with Tanzania. It is part of the larger Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, which extends into Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

DAY 1: NAIROBI TO MASAI MARA

  • Depart from Nairobi at 7:30 AM to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5 hours).
  • Drive via the renowned Great Rift Valley with a 15-minute stop at the Viewpoint to create memorable moments.
  • Arrive at the camp/lodge for lunch and relaxation.
  • Proceed to an afternoon game drive and enjoy breathtaking views of the Big 5 in the vast grass plains.
  • Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: MASAI MARA GAME DRIVES

  • Have an early breakfast, a perfect energy boost for the thrilling day ahead.
  • Set off to the Masai Mara National Reserve, a full-day expedition to encounter diverse wildlife.
  • Enjoy a cozy picnic lunch in the wild.
  • Proceed to the Mara River, the center stage of the 8th wonder of the world—the wildebeest migration, which happens annually from July to August.
  • The full-day game drive (in open rooftop vehicles) is an excellent opportunity for photographers.
  • Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
